Sun Light Wellness, LLC is an inclusive private practice dedicated to supporting women from all backgrounds who are navigating anxiety, trauma, substance use, and perinatal mood and anxiety disorders.

I offer HIPAA-compliant virtual therapy services to individuals throughout Indiana and Ohio, and in-person sessions at my Richmond, IN office. My practice is committed to providing compassionate, culturally sensitive care in a safe and welcoming environment.

Born and raised in Richmond, Indiana, I have always had a deep connection to this community. I’ve had the unique opportunity to witness firsthand the challenges and triumphs that shape the lives of the people here. From a young age, I felt drawn to the field of mental health, driven by a desire to help others navigate their struggles and lead fulfilling lives. This passion was further fueled by the challenges I observed within my own family and community, where mental health services were often limited, and the stigma surrounding mental health care remained prevalent. I wanted to be a part of changing that narrative, offering a safe and supportive space for individuals to heal and grow. As the founder of Sun Light Wellness, LLC, I’m deeply committed to offering therapy that honors the diverse experiences of my clients, particularly women facing anxiety, trauma, substance use challenges, and perinatal mood and anxiety disorders. Sun Light Wellness reflects my dedication to continuous learning, cultural sensitivity, and honoring the unique experiences of each client. It’s my way of giving back to the community that shaped me, by helping others find healing, growth, and self-compassion.

My Approach

As a mental health therapist, my approach is holistic, person-centered, and deeply rooted in humanistic and feminist principles. I believe in meeting each client where they are, honoring their individual experiences, strengths, and identities. My goal is to create a therapeutic space that is inclusive, supportive, and empowering.

I integrate a variety of evidence-based modalities to tailor the therapeutic process to the unique needs of each client. These include Brainspotting , a powerful tool for accessing and healing from trauma; Acceptance and Commitment Therapy (ACT), which helps clients live more fully in the present while aligning with their core values; Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT), which focuses on identifying and challenging unhelpful thought patterns; and Dialectical Behavioral Therapy (DBT), which emphasizes emotional regulation and interpersonal effectiveness. I also incorporate mindfulness-based interventions to encourage greater self-awareness and acceptance.

By combining these approaches, I strive to help clients build resilience, develop healthier coping strategies, and foster deeper connections with themselves and others. I see therapy as a collaborative journey, grounded in empathy and a deep respect for the client’s autonomy, voice, and lived experience.

Stigma surrounding mental health can be one of the biggest barriers to seeking help. For many, the fear of being judged or misunderstood keeps them locked in silence, preventing them from taking that crucial first step toward healing.
